Kalra says that it is a malignant tumour that forms in the cells of the breasts and is treatable medically. If you ever feel a lump within your breast, it’s an alarm to get yourself medically examined by a professional in the field.

Usually, the first symptom noticeable for breast cancer will be a lump within your breast but not all lumps are cancerous. However, other symptoms and signs are also there to be noticed regarding breast cancer mentioned below:

  • A throbbing pain inside your breast
  • A noticeable change in size or shape where one breast might become bigger or lower than the other one.
  • Alteration to the skin texture which may be caused due to rumples or depressions on the skin of the breast.
  • An intense change in the hue of the breast skin, looking red or inflamed.
  • If you ever feel one of the nipples might be inverted (turned in) when it usually points outward.
  • Having noticed any unusual discharge from either of your breasts.
  • If you see any rash or crusting of the nipple or surrounding area.

What Causes This Serious Condition?

Family History

Breast cancer in 1st degree relatives like mother, sister, daughter puts you at higher risk. Cancer risk is further increases if the relative developed this cancer before menopause .

At times breast cancer is directly inherited through genes. Breast cancer gene BRCA -1 and BRCA -2 and TP53 gene when inherited leads to the breast cancer development.
