We understand that staying in a hospital can be unnerving. To make your stay comfortable, you will have an entire healthcare team by your side, focused on your safety and well-being.

Our Patient and Visitor Guide will help you prepare for your time with us.

Patient Guide

1. Patient's rights and responsibilities

To give you the best possible care, we adhere to a specific set of standards and ask that you do the same. It is our job to give you appropriate treatment and advice, and to involve you in clinical decision making as much as possible. In the interest of your health, no care will be given without your informed consent.

It is important that you understand all the information given to you. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything.

2. OPD timings:

9am-8pm, Monday- Saturday

3. Admission:

Your consultant will inform you of your admission date and any other procedures that are required at the time of admission. The consultant will also let you know if you need to fast or take any precautions before your tests or treatments.

Once you reach the hospital, please notify us at the reception desk and you will be escorted to your patient room.

During admission, we require the following information:

  • Valid identity proof
  • Documents related to your corporate/private insurance (if you are availing any insurance) and insurance ID card for verification

A deposit must be paid by all patients; the amount of the deposit will be determined based on your stay and your treatment. We can provide you with a cost estimate before your stay, if you choose.

In case of an emergency admission, the patient will be allowed to provide the above-mentioned documents and deposit after admission.

4. Discharge:

Your consultant will determine when you can be discharged.

The timing will be communicated to you a day before you are to be discharged. Planned discharges are at 11am. If you are unable to vacate your room by the discharge time, you may be required to pay an additional fee. Please ensure that you have all your belongings and valuables with you. The hospital will not be held responsible for any personal items left behind.

5.Payment:

We want to ensure you receive the full benefits of your insurance coverage and consideration under our financial assistance programs, if applicable. Our payment process includes the following steps:

  • A deposit is required upon admission and can be paid by credit and debit card, EPS or cash. The minimum deposit x% of the estimated total charges,
  • Please note that direct billing to the CK Birla Hospital for Women by an appointed insurance company can only be arranged if there is a prior agreement between the hospital and the insurance company.
  • Please ask the billing desk to share the details of financial assistance schemes in case you plan to opt for them.

6. Financing:

Visitor Guide

1.Visitor and attendant policy:

We understand the importance of having family members and friends close by when you are in a hospital. To help us accommodate visitors and attendants, we ask that you follow these guidelines.

When your attendant or visitor arrives at the hospital, they will receive a pass informing staff that they are authorised to be here. Please ensure they wear the pass at all times.

Flowers and food from outside are not allowed on the premises. Meals, baked goods and gift items are available for sale in our hospital shops.

Please note that smoking is strictly prohibited within the hospital premises.

The hospital is not responsible for the safety of your belongings.

For attendants

Our hospital policy allows only one attendant per patient. Children below 12 years are only allowed with special permission and need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

For visitors

Only two visitors can visit a patient at a time.

VISITING HOURS

  • Patient rooms – 10am-12noon | 5pm- 8pm 8 p.m.
  • NICU - all day for parents

2. Use of cell phones:

You are welcome to use your own mobile phone in the privacy of your room, please remain mindful of using it in public spaces

Picture/video and audio recording features may not be used in any area of the hospital.

Photos of patients with family and/or care team members are permitted with verbal consent of all individuals who are part of the picture, and if they do not violate the privacy of other patients or staff.

3. Food services:

Healthy and delicious meals served around the clock from our regular and all day dining menus keep patients and guests satisfied. Guests are also welcome to eat at Go Gourmet located on our ground floor.
